Grid
Learn about the chart grid and how to adjust it.
The grid defines the area where a chart is drawn. You can add multiple grids to a single canvas by clicking Add Canvas and choosing Grid again. Each grid can contain its own chart, letting you arrange multiple charts side by side, stacked, or in any layout. Position and size each grid to create complex dashboard-like visualizations on a single canvas. You can adjust the margins and padding to optimize the layout of each grid.

These are the input fields shown directly in the Grid panel:
| Setting | Description |

| Id | A text field to set a unique identifier for the grid element |
| Enable Background and Shadow | When enabled, adds two additional sections — Background and Shadow — for styling the grid's background area and adding drop shadows |
Sections
Expandable sub-panels with additional styling options:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Position | Opens the Position shared setting to set the distance of the grid from the left, right, top, and bottom edges of the chart |
| Size | Opens the Size shared setting to control the width and height of the grid area |
| Background | Opens the Background shared setting to style the grid background area — background color, border color, and border width (visible when Enable Background and Shadow is checked) |
| Shadow | Opens the Shadow shared setting to add a drop shadow to the grid area (visible when Enable Background and Shadow is checked) |
